Retainers are a very important part of any orthodontic treatment. We’ll work to get your teeth and bite as straight and lined up as we can and then the retainers will RETAIN (or hold) them there. Without consistent retainer wear, your teeth WILL GO BACK to being crooked.
The good news is that my Invisalign patients are my best retainer wearers! Almost always, we use the Invisalign style retainers – no need for the plastic and wire kind that you’re probably thinking of. People who’ve worn Invisalign 22 hours a day find going to nights-only wear very easy and are generally really successful with it.
